SouthSide Motorsport Club (SSMC) was started by 5 like minded individuals who grew up tinkering with cars mostly datsun and escorts and the like. These individuals did not like some of the bureaucracy and power plays that other clubs pushed onto their members so they decided to start their own. With most of the members living south of Melbourne the name SSMC was decided upon.

You may notice that the word ‘car’ does not exist in the title and this is intentional as our club is more than just a car club we welcome any form of motorsport from Cars, to Bikes to Go Karts. Anything that is powered and is of the essence of motorsport can and is welcome.

SSMC grew quickly from only a handful of members to now over 80 strong and still growing.
